Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Video Editor to join our team full‑time in Austin, TX. The Video Editor will focus on editing high‑performing YouTube Shorts and vertical content for other social platforms. You will be part of a fast‑paced creative team, helping to ensure every video is engaging, on‑brand, and visually dynamic. Key Responsibilities: Editing 20-60 second short‑form videos for YT and social media Cut and pace footage for maximum viewer retention, visual interest, and storytelling Add captions, sound effects, overlays, and transitions that enhance engagement Follow and incorporate current trends in YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels Collaborate with the Director of Post Production and creative team on feedback Maintain organized file structures, version tracking, and consistent delivery practices Ensure all videos align with brand identity and content standards Qualifications: Proven experience editing content for YouTube Shorts, TikTok, or Instagram Reels Strong sense of pacing, timing, and visual rhythm Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve) Experience with animated text, on‑screen captions, and graphic overlays Familiarity with social media and creator trends, especially in youth markets Strong communication skills and ability to take feedback and iterate Ability to to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Must be based in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX and available to work in‑person Monday through Friday Competitive full‑time salary based on experience Healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) plan 4 weeks paid time off (PTO) annually A creative and collaborative team environment Opportunity to work with a well‑established and highly visible creator brand Potential for long‑term growth and advancement within the company A company culture that values creativity, efficiency, and meaningful connection with our audience Work Environment/ Physical Requirements: Fast‑paced, highly collaborative creative environment Regular use of computers, video editing software, and multimedia equipment Frequent communication and coordination with creative, content, and production teams Prolonged periods of sitting and computer‑based work Occasional lifting or moving of production equipment (up to 25 lbs) Work is performed in a combination of open office areas and a dedicated post‑production suite Sensory‑rich environment with exposure to video, audio, bright lighting, and colorful products Equal Employment Opportunity Statement At PeachyBbies, we’re all about creating a work vibe as fun and inclusive as our slimes.
