Position Overview
Under general supervision responsible for researching, organizing, writing, revising, and producing data for utilization in a wide variety of complex technical publications which require in-depth knowledge and understanding of the subject-matter in support of the DUF6 conversion project. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
Creates, revises, and reviews organizational procedures to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the DUF6 facility
Interfaces with the Engineering and Operations departments, as well as other personnel to gather information required to develop procedures and other documents
Writes procedures and other documents based on developed information
Supports the review and approval process for procedures
Ensures procedures and other documents are transmitted to Records Management Document Control
Evaluates requirements to ensure procedures effectively implement all regulatory drivers
Assists with the verification and validation of completed procedures, test restrictions, etc.
Incorporates operational needs while conforming to engineering requirements
Aids in the maintenance of controlled document templates and style guides
Updates and tracks procedure changes in progress on organizational tracking documents or logs as required
May be required to provide emergent support on the off-shift and weekends to support mission critical activities such as stop work, safety issues and/or project critical activities
Possesses strong organizational skills that reflect ability to adapt to various competing demands, successful implementation of time-management, and demonstration at the highest level of customer/client service and response
Administers intermediate level written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention-to-detail
Possesses intermediate PC skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat
Demonstrates the ability to apply organizational practices, policies and procedures in directing a wide variety of related legal and administrative tasks
Maintains the judgment and discretion to properly discern and safeguard highly-sensitive information and documents, including confidential attorney work product, privileged attorney-client communications, company-proprietary information, and classified or otherwise sensitive national security information
Job Requirements
(Must meet DOE Order 426.2 minimum requirements)
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Communications or equivalent
5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required
