Position Summary
We are hiring a driven, creative MBA student to join our lean marketing team for a summer internship (April-August 2026). This is a rare, high-visibility role within a venture capital firm - you will work directly with our Head of Marketing, Platform, & Operations on everything from brand strategy, digital marketing, and event execution.
This is a hands-on, project-based internship where you will be challenged to apply your MBA learnings in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Core Projects
Event Marketing - Support the planning and execution of our Annual Limited Partner Meeting and other firm-wide events, from logistics and materials to signage, the overall audience experience, and strategic event communications.
Brand &Competitive Strategy - Conduct a thorough audit of Sorenson Capital's brand position relative to peers and deliver prioritized, actionable recommendations. Help refine our brand book, tone-of-voice guidance, and core brand standards using Canva to ensure consistency across all channels and audiences, informed by the findings.
Content & Storytelling - Contribute to editorial brainstorming and bring a sharp, strategic lens to how we communicate our firm's story and the stories of our portfolio companies. Make recommendations and have the opportunity to write, edit, and publish a variety of content - owned blog posts, videos, social, and newsletters. Ideate ways to bring our
Digital Marketing & Analytics - Evaluate paid campaigns, SEO performance, and emerging GEO strategies. Build reporting frameworks that surface what's working, identify opportunities, and translate data into clear recommendations.
Multi-Audience Messaging - Help develop and refine messaging frameworks across Sorenson Capital’s distinct audiences: limited partners, current and prospective founders, and portfolio companies. Strong messaging discipline is at the core of everything we do.
Portfolio Resource Library - Maintain and expand Sorenson Capital's curated library of portfolio resources, including executive coaches, fractional leaders, agency partners, and service providers, ensuring it remains a valuable, well-organized tool for our founders.
Who You Are
Currently enrolled in an MBA program with a concentration in marketing, brand strategy, or communications
A natural storyteller who can translate research and data into compelling narratives and creative strategies
Equally comfortable thinking at the strategic level and doing the work - no task too big or too small
A clear, confident communicator in both writing and conversation
A self-starter who is organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Familiar with general SEO principles and curious about the emerging GEO landscape
Experience in content marketing, field marketing, or event marketing is a plus
