Job Description
You will develop and maintain short term service contracts to support our customer’s normal plant operations, as well as water system upgrades, maintenance outages, peak demand periods, and commissioning activities. You will originate and develop multi-year service contracts that provide, sustain, and/or improve water treatment systems as long term partnerships with our customers. You will review and evaluate customer’s existing water treatment systems and develop and propose comprehensive solutions that bring value. You will consider our wide technology portfolio, including various pretreatment technologies like clarification/filtration and UltraFiltration (UF), as well as demineralization technologies like Reverse Osmosis (RO), ElectroDeionization (EDI) and Ion Exchange (IX), to improve customer operations in pure water applications. You will also support customer wastewater and water reuse needs with treatment solutions like dissolved air flotation (DAF), membrane bioreactor (MBR), and general ZeeWeed* UF immersed membrane systems, providing beneficial reuse, turning wastewater into a valuable source. You will manage existing customer relationships and develop new ones to become a trusted partner. You will collaborate with other Veolia business lines within Water Tech as well as other Veolia entities within the Group. In all of this, you will establish and execute strategic growth plans and achieve revenue targets for the assigned region.
You will become a member of the best commercial organization in the water business: using curiosity and creativity to grow a quality pipeline, clearly defining needs/wants through a customer lens, developing/managing commercial plans with a focus on growth, and negotiating contracts that benefit our customers and our business. Demonstrated success in all aspects of the role will result in future opportunities in commercial and business roles with possibilities of increased complexity and management responsibilities.

You will manage a territory with a strong customer base, that includes: metro-NY (NYC and Long Island), CT, MA, RI, VT, and NH; residing somewhere within the territory.
Duties & Responsibilities
Identify needs and create partnerships with existing Veolia and new customers
Manage the entire sales process including lead generation, qualifying of opportunities, forecasting, bidding and closing deals
Accurately define opportunities including client benefits/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), customer assets, scope, key deliverables, timing
Coordinate / generate the development of proposals and quotations
Lead negotiations with support from regional services team, legal, finance and HR
Foster a strong partnership with other Veolia WTS commercial teams to maximize synergy with their accounts and growth initiatives
Develop and maintain an advanced knowledge of all Veolia WTS products and service offerings
Manage new business transitions and start-ups to assure customer expectations are met
Additional Responsibilities
Become a “hunter”, mining databases and networking with other Business Lines to find new driveways and new opportunities
Create and manage a strategic growth plan that details sales strategies and regional, market and customer focus
Forecast and actively track sales and report historic success of these sales versus plan
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Must have demonstrated successful background in Technical Sales/Business Development
Ability to effectively present ideas and information through the spoken and written word
Operations, maintenance, piloting, service, and/or design experience in the Water and Wastewater treatment industry
Creative, collaborative and self-directed
Strong listening skills
Proficient computer skills including the use of Salesforce, Computer Information Technology, Google Workspace or other similar tools
Experience in the application of the principles of “Strategic Selling” (Miller Heiman) or similar sales strategies
Technical understanding of power, chemical processing, mining and/or hydrocarbon industry water treatment needs
Technical understanding of water treatment equipment portfolio which consists of UF, RO, Ion Exchange, Clarifier, Multimedia filtration and softeners
Core Qualifications
5 years client services, relationship management and/or sales experience working with industrial customers within the water and wastewater treatment industry
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree Engineering, Technical Degree or related program

Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $95,000 - 120,000 USD
