Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Specialist to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transportation and logistics industry and a proven track record in sales and business development. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely and independently, with flexible hours.
Key Responsibilities
Identify potential clients and develop relationships to generate new business opportunities
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential growth areas and target industries
Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies
Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote the company and build relationships
Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients to showcase our services and value proposition
Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to secure new business
Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's services and industry trends to effectively communicate with clients
Provide regular updates and reports on sales and business development activities to management
Continuously seek out new opportunities for business growth and expansion
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation and presentation skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently
Ability to travel for client meetings and industry events as needed
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
