Solar Sales Manager / Regional Business Development Manager - Commercial & Multifamily

Our client is a well-established solar company with a fantastic reputation for excellent service on residential single and multifamily dwellings, along with commercial buildings.
Opportunity
We are currently looking for a successful Commercial Solar Sales Manager / Business Development Manager to drive and manage multifamily/commercial solar projects throughout the California region. Project sizes will range in size from 20kW – 1MW, mainly in existing retrofit and some new construction. The Commercial Solar Sales Manager will be responsible for managing the projects from internal project award all the way to permission to operate.
Responsibilities
Engage with customers and other relevant trade partners as the main point of contact during the projects
Own and drive all commercial and large scale multifamily apartment projects
Create schedules and drive project deliverables
Oversee design and engineering of projects with CAD design team
Manage and coordinate permits with permitting coordinator working with AHJ
Manage utility applications with the internal team
Coordinate procurement of materials with purchasing team
Coordinate and provide direction to Superintendents and field crews
Coordinate and manage invoicing
Perform estimates and budgeting
Assist project management/developers with budgeting, bidding, designing, and contracting projects
Some travel is required to inspect some client locations and occasional team meetings at the office
Qualifications
Must have direct solar sales experience with a minimum of 3+ years of commercial and/or multifamily solar photovoltaic (PV) experience
2+ years of project management in construction operations with a solid understanding of commercial project life cycles
Experience working with Helioscope and Energy Toolbase is highly desired
Must have strong problem-solving skills
Proven ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and keeping projects within budget
Must have strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Hands-on experience with CRMs such as SalesForces tracking leads and sales, is preferred
Knowledge of commercial and residential building codes - AHJ
Knowledge of multi-family PV interconnections as well as Virtual Net Energy Metering (VNEM)
Knowledge of 3-phase electrical system
Knowledge of commercial solar equipment including: panels, racking, inverters, and batteries
Knowledge of all system types: tilt and flat roof mount, ground mounts, carports, ballasted, and hybrid systems
Knowledge of electrical code

Salary 100K to 120K plus generous commission. The compensation listed below is salary plus bonus. Negotiable for the right candidate
