Summary The Copywriter helps define how Turtle Beach speaks to our audiences across every touchpoint where our brand shows up. From social posts and product launches to retail packaging and live events, you’ll craft copy that feels authentic to humans who embrace the fun of gaming, while clearly communicating what makes our brand and products stand out. This role blends creative storytelling, brand voice, and cultural fluency, turning ideas into words that resonate with our broad audiences. Working closely with our brand and creative leadership, designers, brand category managers, producers, and product teams, you’ll help bring ambitious campaigns and content to life across social, web, print, retail, and experiential moments. Whether it’s a breakthrough concept for content, a punchy social caption, a compelling product headline, or messaging for a major launch, you know how to make copy that is sharp, confident, and unmistakably part of gaming culture. This role is ideal for someone who understands that in gaming, voice matters, and the right words can turn a product into a brand that shows up in culture, excites our community, and accelerates growth for our brand. Duties and Responsibilities Write Across Every Channel Social media posts and campaigns Website and product pages Retail packaging and print materials Event and trade show messaging Product launch campaigns Video scripts and digital content Email marketing and promotional copy Bring Gaming Culture Into the Brand Write with an authentic understanding of gaming language, community, and humor Translate gaming culture into copy that feels native Stay ahead of gaming trends, memes, and community conversations Partner Across Creative Collaborate with designers, producers, photographers, and video editors to build integrated creative Participate in concept development for campaigns and launches Help shape big ideas and ensure copy strengthens the creative vision Support Product Launches Write product storytelling and key messaging Develop product names, taglines, and feature copy Help translate technical features into benefits gamers actually care about Protect and Evolve the Brand Voice Maintain a clear, consistent brand tone across channels Adapt voice depending on context: retail, community, campaign, or product Help refine brand language and messaging frameworks Education/Experience/Skills Gaming Culture Fluency You genuinely understand gaming, not just the games themselves, but the communities, humor, and language around them. Strong Creative Instincts You know how to craft copy that is: Clever without trying too hard Clear without being boring Confident without sounding like marketing Versatility You can move between: Punchy social captions Product storytelling Campaign taglines Event messaging Web content Collaborative Energy Great creativity rarely happens in isolation. Detail & Craft You care about words; rhythm, tone, and clarity matter. 3–6+ years of copywriting experience in brand, gaming, lifestyle, or entertainment Experience writing for social media, digital campaigns, web, and print Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking and brand voice Familiarity with gaming culture and gaming communities Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Experience collaborating within creative and marketing teams Bonus points for Experience in gaming, esports, or tech brands Scriptwriting or video content writing Experience writing product or retail packaging copy Disclaimer: The salary for this role is $75,000.00 - $85,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California.
