Job Overview SEA, Ltd., a national forensic engineering firm, is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our busy St. Louis office. In this role, you'll work closely with our national team of forensic engineering experts, connecting their services with a client base that includes law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers. Our experts focus on finding the "why" behind failures. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the aptitude to learn and relay technical information and will bring curiosity, humility and strong demonstrated organizational skills. Prior experience working in SalesForce is strongly preferred. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Sell to and expand our service offerings with existing and new clients in our target markets of Insurance Companies, Law Firms and Manufacturers Responsible for increasing market share by proactively prospecting, pursuing and closing new business Manage multiple client relationships and engagements including addressing any client issues Develop and solidify long-term business relationships and partnerships Proactively seek new clients that align with our target customer profiles Attend industry trade shows and seminars Assist with integrating diverse personalities in a fast-paced environment Develop and execute a sales plan that results in new client revenues Build relationships with key decision-makers of targeted prospects Assist with addressing any client complaints or concerns Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback into job performance Regular and predictable presence at work Position Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred Three (3) to five (5) years of outside sales experience, preferably in a service industry Must have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, relationship management & time management skills Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Outlook Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Physical Requirements Ability to travel 50% of the time, mostly regionally by car Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues Ability to lift 40 lbs.
