Position Overview The Social Media Associate will support the execution of Morgan Stanley’s firmwide social media strategy, working closely with the Director of Social Media to drive brand awareness, audience engagement, and business growth. This role focuses on creating, coordinating, and delivering social‑first content, while collaborating cross‑functionally with internal partners to ensure messaging is consistent, compliant, and impactful across all social media platforms. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and passionate about storytelling, with a strong understanding of social media best practices in a fast‑paced, highly regulated environment. Responsibilities Support the execution of Morgan Stanley’s firmwide social media strategy across platforms including LinkedIn, X, Instagram, and YouTube. Assist with the creation, editing, and delivery of social‑first content, including copywriting, basic visual briefs, and short‑form video coordination. Manage day‑to‑day content workflows, including scheduling, publishing, tagging, and maintaining the social media content calendar. Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, communications, compliance, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure content is accurate, approved, and aligned with brand standards. Coordinate content reviews and approvals in accordance with firm policies and compliance requirements. Coordinate communications with stakeholders to gather content needs, align on messaging, and ensure timely execution of social media initiatives. Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to help identify opportunities to enhance content and engagement. Provide support to the Director of Social Media and the broader social media team as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required with 3‑5 years of relevant experience in social media marketing; financial services or regulated industry experience preferred. Proven success managing corporate social media channels. Experience with content creation and creative platforms, including Canva. Experience using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Netbase Quid, Proofpoint Patrol). Copywriting skills with the ability to write for professional and regulated audiences. Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to balance creativity with discipline in a fast‑paced, highly matrixed environment. Interest in AI and exploring new use cases for marketing and social media. Compensation Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $105,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short‑ and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley‑sponsored benefit programs.
