Job Title Senior Email Marketing Specialist Location St. Louis, Missouri (Hybrid) Hybrid Policy 70% On‑Site 30% Work‑from‑Home Job Summary We’re looking for a Senior Email Marketing Specialist who doesn’t just “send campaigns” – you build strategies, optimize journeys, and think in segments, data, and revenue impact. This role is for someone who loves digging into performance metrics, testing new ideas, and turning insights into smarter lifecycle marketing. You’ll own and evolve our email program across batch, triggered, and automated campaigns while leading the growth of our SMS strategy. From segmentation to calendar ownership to deliverability health, you’ll have real influence over how we communicate with customers across channels. Responsibilities Manage and execute the company’s existing email marketing program, including batch and blast campaigns, triggered communications, and automated journeys, with a focus on continuous performance optimization. Identify, develop, launch, and refine customer segmentation strategies and lifecycle communication journeys to drive engagement and conversion. Lead the implementation and growth of SMS acquisition and marketing strategies, ensuring strong customer adoption and measurable performance results. Own and maintain the Email Marketing Calendar, ensuring accuracy, visibility, and alignment across cross‑functional stakeholders. Track and manage email and SMS campaign workflows, timelines, and deliverables to ensure on‑time execution. Analyze campaign performance metrics, including open rate, click‑through rate, conversion rate, and revenue contribution, and provide actionable insights and recommendations. Monitor email deliverability and list health metrics, proactively minimizing unsubscribes and optimizing customer retention. Ensure compliance with CAN‑SPAM and applicable SMS marketing regulations and industry best practices. Partner closely with IT and cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize customer and sales data flows into the ESP. Stay current on email and SMS marketing trends, tools, technologies, and emerging best practices to continually enhance program effectiveness. Education Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred. Experience 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in email marketing, preferably within both consumer retail and business‑to‑business (wholesale) environments. Hands‑on experience with at least one major email service provider (ESP) with automation capabilities, such as Bloomreach, Klaviyo, Emarsys, or Listrak. Prior experience launching or scaling an SMS marketing program is strongly preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and translate data into actionable marketing strategies. Deep understanding of email marketing strategy, customer segmentation, dynamic content, personalization, and lifecycle marketing best practices. High attention to detail with strong organizational and project management capabilities. Confident, proactive self‑starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Basic HTML knowledge preferred. What do we offer? At Weissman, we take care of our people.
