About Us Gatlinburg Adventure Mining is a brand-new gem mining attraction where guests get to discover and keep real rocks, fossils, and gemstones in an immersive gem mine experience. The Role As a Gem Guide, you’ll be the expert in the mine—helping guests of all ages discover gems and have an unforgettable time. As a brand-new business, we need your insight to get as many 5-star reviews as possible, expand our social media presence, and make more efficient operational processes. What You’ll Do Enthusiastically share about our product, give guests previews, ring them out at the register Guide guests through the experience, explaining how to sluice, identify, and appreciate their finds Alongside our Operations Manager at HQ, problem solve and contribute ideas on how to streamline processes, improve guest experience, and build team communication Create an engaging, fun atmosphere in the mine for guests of all ages Share knowledge about gemstones, minerals, and fossils with enthusiasm Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked mining area Assist with setup and breakdown of the mining station, cleaning out the water and sand as needed Assist with making the “recipes” of sand and gem mixes Collaborate with the front-of-house Guest Experience Specialist to ensure smooth guest flow Support the development of social media and marketing initiatives by brainstorming campaign ideas, identifying guest engagement opportunities, and contributing creative content concepts Represent Gatlinburg Adventure Mining and The Escape Game brand with professionalism and enthusiasm Any other duties as assigned by leadership What We Offer A fun, brand-new work environment—be part of our opening team Connection to The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show network with 80+ locations nationwide Opportunities for advancing into leadership positions and even moving around the country!
