This internship opportunity is for Forsyth County high school students enrolled in the CTAE Work Program for the 2026–2027 school year.
This is an unpaid internship with a flexible schedule of approximately 5–10 hours per week during the school week , with mostly field work and occasional after-school or Saturday events.

Internship Overview The goals of the TikTok/Marketing Intern are to:
Expand our reach and continue growing our youth sector (ages 18–24) following on TikTok
Enhance content with a greater focus on education and encouraging environmental action
Assist with additional marketing projects that support the mission of Keep Forsyth County Beautiful (KFCB) and the functions of the Department of Recycling & Solid Waste
Keep Forsyth County Beautiful launched its TikTok account in December 2021 and began expanding its presence in September 2022 with the help of two High School Interns. Prior to the addition of interns, videos averaged approximately 530 views and 13 engagements (likes, comments, shares, or saves). After interns began creating content, engagement steadily increased, with the most popular video reaching over 230,000 views and more than 5,500 likes.
We are now seeking our next creative intern to help take our TikTok presence to the next level.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of TikTok trends and a passion for environmental topics, with an emphasis on positive, proactive, and engaging content.
Responsibilities Create 4–5 TikTok videos weekly to be posted on KFCB’s TikTok account, with content repurposed for Facebook, Instagram Reels, and YouTube
Develop content that educates and encourages community members to take action regarding environmental topics
Work alongside KFCB’s Social Media Manager to brainstorm ideas and ensure content aligns with brand identity and messaging
Stay up-to-date on TikTok trends such as memes, music, and sounds, and incorporate them creatively into KFCB content
Attend KFCB events and assist with capturing content when appropriate
Support additional marketing and communication efforts as needed
Content will support KFCB’s four core environmental focus areas:
Litter Prevention and Reduction
Recycling and Sustainability
Water Quality and Protecting Waterways
Greening and Beautification

Extremely tech-savvy with strong communication skills
Knowledge of current social media trends and digital storytelling
Understanding of TikTok humor and creativity while maintaining brand appropriateness
Sensitivity to what types of trends or content may not be appropriate for a government organization (with guidance from the Social Media Manager)
Willingness to adapt quickly to feedback and evolving priorities
