Field Marketing & Membership Sales Specialist (Mobile Trailer Events)

Location: Boise / Meridian, Idaho (Field-based) Department: Marketing & Membership Growth Employment Type: Part-Time W-2 Employee | Commission-Based Pay Structure Reports To: Growth & Operations Lead Schedule: Flexible (weekends, evenings, daytime events as needed) Position Summary Black Box VR combines immersive virtual reality gaming with high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to create a competitive, tech-driven fitness experience. We are seeking a high-energy, outgoing Field Marketing & Membership Sales Specialist to operate our mobile fitness trailer at community events throughout the Boise/Meridian area. This role is the front line of our member acquisition strategy—engaging new people, delivering demos, generating leads, and converting event participants into long-term gym members at our Meridian location. The ideal candidate is friendly, persuasive, and able to quickly connect with strangers, assess their needs, and clearly communicate how Black Box VR aligns with their fitness goals. Key Responsibilities Transport and operate the Black Box VR mobile fitness trailer at events Set up and break down event equipment (tent, table, signage, demo stations) Proactively engage event attendees and generate qualified membership leads Deliver a welcoming, high-trust customer experience and manage demo flow/lines Follow SOPs to start and manage the VR fitness demo experience Track leads, memberships sold, and provide event feedback to leadership Work alongside a second specialist at events to maximize throughput and conversion Required Competencies (Lominger-Aligned) Communicates Effectively Customer Focus Drives Engagement Interpersonal Savvy Builds Networks Situational Adaptability Strategic Mindset Drives Vision and Purpose Candidate Profile Naturally confident, friendly, and highly engaging with new people Comfortable initiating conversations and guiding customers through a sales experience Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable in live event environments Able to transport equipment and manage physical event setup Sales, fitness, hospitality, or event marketing experience preferred Requirements: Valid driver’s license, ability to tow trailer and lift event materials. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds and perform physical event setup and breakdown activities. Compensation (Commission Based) This is a part-time W-2 position with performance-based, commission-driven compensation. Base Commission Representatives earn 50% of the first paid month of membership dues for each new member enrolled. Estimated earnings range based on performance: $2,000–$5,000+ per month depending on event volume and conversion rates. High performers can earn significant income through consistent event conversions.
