Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Account Manager to join the Account Management team at SMTG, supporting ESSENCE and R29. This role will focus primarily on post‑sale client management and campaign execution (approximately 70%), with additional involvement in pre‑sale media planning and renewals (approximately 30%).
The Account Manager serves as the main client liaison after a campaign is sold, ensuring seamless activation, optimization, and reporting while providing strategic input during the pre‑sale process to develop cohesive and performance‑driven media programs.
This will be a hybrid role based out of our Brooklyn, NY office: Tues‑Thurs on‑site, and Mon/Fri WFH.
Key Responsibilities Post‑Sale Management (Approximately 70%) Serve as the day‑to‑day contact for clients once campaigns are live, overseeing communication, pacing, delivery, and performance.
Collaborate with Ad Ops, Sales, and Strategy teams to ensure accurate and on‑time campaign launches, optimizations, and reporting across digital media, social, branded content/editorial integrations, and experiential channels.
Monitor campaign KPIs, identify optimization opportunities, and manage mid‑flight adjustments as needed to ensure performance goals are met.
Contribute to post‑campaign wrap‑ups, including ad‑hoc reporting, insights analysis, and screenshot documentation.
Maintain quality control and accuracy across all deliverables, from trafficking details to final reporting.
Partner with Finance & Sales teams on billing reconciliations, campaign extensions, and renewals.
Pre‑Sale and Planning (Approximately 30%) Collaborate with Sales and Strategy teams during the proposal process to provide input on media feasibility, inventory availability, and pricing accuracy.
Support the development of media plans and deck materials that align with client goals and platform capabilities.
Contribute to renewal planning by analyzing results and shaping data‑driven proposals for repeat business.
Internal Collaboration Partner cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure operational excellence at every campaign stage.
Help refine communication frameworks and workflow processes to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in digital media account management, campaign operations, or integrated marketing.
Proven ability to manage digital campaigns through post‑sale execution, reporting, and renewal.
Strong understanding of digital media metrics (impressions, CPM, CTR, engagement) and data‑driven storytelling.
Experience with ad servers or campaign management platforms such as Boostr, Salesforce, Operative, Google Ad Manager, or similar systems strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong service mindset.
Proficient in PowerPoint and Excel with strong organizational and reporting skills.
Familiarity with social, content, and experiential campaign elements a plus.

Salary The salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD. The salary range is subject to change and may be amended in the future. Experience, education, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered.
