Overview Our client, a dynamic advertising agency in Downtown Jacksonville, is seeking a Social Media and Communications Manager with a heavy emphasis on Strategy , Content Creation and Copywriting . This is a high-impact role for a creative professional who loves the variety of agency life, working across a diverse roster of client accounts to build brand stories from the ground up.
This role is focused entirely on the production and strategic side of social media and communications. You will be the "voice" and the "lens" for multiple brands, moving between short-form video production and high-level copywriting for both social and editorial platforms.
Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Visual Storytelling Video Production: Concept, film, and edit high-quality short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) tailored to various client industries.
Graphic Execution: Create aesthetic static posts, carousels, and stories that align with specific brand guidelines and visual identities.
Trend Adaptation: Identify emerging social trends and translate them into brand-appropriate content that drives results for agency clients.
Copywriting (Short & Longform) Brand Voice Mastery: Act as a "voice chameleon," writing punchy, high-conversion captions for social media and scripts for video content.
Long-form Writing: Develop authoritative long-form content, including blog posts, LinkedIn thought-leadership articles, and client newsletters.
Ad Copy: Craft compelling copy for paid social campaigns that aligns with the overall creative strategy.
Editorial Calendars: Build and manage content calendars for a variety of accounts, ensuring a consistent and strategic posting cadence.
Creative Alignment: Partner with agency leadership and account managers to ensure all organic content supports the clients' broader marketing objectives.
Quality Control: Ensure all deliverables are polished, error-free, and maintain the high standard expected by agency clients.
Qualifications Portfolio Submission: Required. Candidates must provide samples of short-form video work and a writing portfolio showcasing both short-form (captions) and long-form (blogs/articles) samples.
Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 5+ years of experience in social media management or content marketing. Experience in an agency or multi-client setting is highly preferred.
Writing Versatility: Exceptional grammar and the ability to pivot between different tones, from technical and professional, to casual and trendy.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in mobile video editing apps (CapCut, etc.) and design platforms like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
Preferred Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Loomly, or Meta Business Suite).
Basic understanding of SEO for long-form content.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven agency environment.
This is a full-time, Hybrid role. You will work within a professional agency setting alongside other creative thinkers. The focus of this role is pure strategy creation and execution; there is no community management or reputation management involved.
