Job Description Position: RCDD Technician (Registered Communications Distribution Designer)

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled RCDD Technician to support the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems across commercial and industrial environments. This role blends hands‑on technical work with design expertise, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both field execution and high‑level planning.
Key Responsibilities
Design, review, and validate structured cabling systems in accordance with BICSI standards
Produce and interpret detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation
Oversee installation of copper and fiber‑optic cabling systems
Conduct site surveys, audits, and assessments
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project success
Ensure compliance with codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices
Provide technical guidance to field technicians
Required Qualifications
Active RCDD certification (BICSI)
3+ years of experience in structured cabling, low‑voltage systems, and / or telecommunications infrastructure
Strong understanding of BICSI, TIA/EIA, and NEC standards
Proficiency with cable testing equipment (Softing, OTDR, etc.)
Ability to read and produce technical drawings (Bluebeam or similar is a plus)
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Preferred Skills
Experience with data center builds, MDF / IDF design, or large‑scale commercial projects
Knowledge of pathway design, grounding / bonding, and cable management best practices
Familiarity with project documentation tools and construction workflows
Strong communication and client‑facing skills
