Pay/Compensation: $140,000–$160,000 Base + 10% Bonus
Travel: Extensive North America Travel (16–18 Weekends per Year)
A leading company in the consumer events space is seeking a Strategy & Business Development Director to drive talent strategy, commercial growth, and portfolio expansion across a large-scale North American event portfolio.
This is a senior leadership role reporting to the President of the division. The position blends financial strategy, deal negotiation, and hands‑on execution across 16–18 major events annually in the U.S. and Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead celebrity talent strategy and guest acquisition across multiple large‑scale events
Negotiate contracts with agents and manage talent budgets with a strong ROI focus
Partner with Show Managers to align talent programming with revenue targets
Build financial models and business cases for new initiatives and expansion
Support growth strategy, including new launches, geographic expansion, and M&A evaluation
Advise executive leadership through data‑driven analysis and strategic planning
Travel to events to oversee talent execution and operations
Qualifications
7–10+ years in strategy, business development, corporate development, or operational leadership
Financial Strategic consulting background highly preferred
Strong financial modeling and commercial analysis experience
Proven negotiation and executive communication skills
Experience building business cases and supporting growth initiatives
Experience with M&A required
Bachelor’s degree required
Extensive Travel required
Industry experience in events or entertainment is preferred but not required for candidates with strong strategic depth.
