Your role and responsibilities We are looking for Consultants to join our growing AI Search & Digital Experience practice. In this client‑facing role, you will guide enterprise organizations through the transformation of their digital presence to meet the demands of AI‑driven search and next‑generation content development. You will serve as a trusted advisor, supporting engagements that span content strategy, technical site architecture, authority building, and AI‑powered marketing — helping clients stay competitive as the end‑to‑end digital experience fundamentally shifts and content supply chains are transformed. You are intellectually curious about the shift from keyword‑based to AI‑driven search and excited to help clients navigate it. You are comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level — equally at home presenting a roadmap to a CMO and rolling up your sleeves to review a site's schema markup. You build trust quickly with clients and bring a structured, hypothesis‑driven approach to problem‑solving. Responsibilities include: AI Search Strategy & Content Advisory Consult with clients to assess their current digital and content footprint against the requirements of AI search engines (e.g., Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, ChatGPT Search) Design content strategies that optimize for AI search retrieval, including answer‑layer optimization, topic authority, and semantic content structuring Guide clients thought building content frameworks and playbooks Technical Site Architecture & Agent Readiness Evaluate and redesign site architectures to support AI agent crawling, including structured data implementation (JSON‑LD, Schema.org), sitemap optimization etc/ Advise on technical performance requirements - eg. page speed, mobile responsiveness Lead implementation of entity‑based SEO frameworks and knowledge graph strategies AI‑Powered Marketing Content Enablement Advise clients on building efficient AI‑augmented marketing content workflows, including prompt engineering, AI editorial governance, and brand voice consistency Help clients evaluate and adopt AI content tools that integrate into their existing MarTech stacks Develop strategies to build client authority across third‑party platforms Client Engagement & Delivery Own end‑to‑end client relationships across mid‑market and enterprise accounts Support discovery workshops, present recommendations, and manage project workstreams Develop client‑facing deliverables including audits, roadmaps, frameworks, and playbooks This role can be performed from anywhere in the US. Required technical and professional expertise 10+ years in digital marketing, SEO and GEO, content strategy, or web consulting Understanding of how LLM‑based search engines (Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, Google SGE/AI Overviews) retrieve and rank content Ability to design content architectures optimized for both SEO and AI discoverability — including semantic structuring, topic clustering, and answer‑layer optimization Hands‑on experience implementing JSON‑LD, Schema.org markup, and entity‑based SEO strategies Strong command of technical site health factors: Core Web Vitals, crawl budget, site architecture, indexation, and performance optimization Understanding of how AI agents and crawlers navigate and index websites; ability to configure and advise on robots.txt, sitemaps, and structured data for agentic access Understanding of how third‑party authority through digital PR, earned media, citations, and partnerships is built Working knowledge of AI content generation tools, workflows, and governance frameworks used in enterprise marketing Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts for executive and marketing audience Demonstrated experience managing and delivering complex, multi‑workstream consulting engagements Preferred technical and professional experience Prior experience at a management consulting, digital agency, or marketing technology consultancy is strongly preferred Awareness of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and how AI agents interact with web data and APIs Experience setting up AI search performance measurement frameworks; familiarity with tools such as GA4, GSC, and emerging AI search analytics platforms Experience advising on or integrating CMS platforms (Adobe Experience Manager) with AI content workflows Established relationships or strategies for acquiring high‑authority placements that influence AI model citation behavior Experience with Wikidata, Google's Knowledge Panel, and entity disambiguation strategies Ability to guide client organizations through internal adoption of new AI‑driven processes and workflows IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer.
