Staff Writer, Aging & Longevity

The Opportunity Pillar4 Media is seeking a Staff Writer to join its fast-growing team. You'll work closely with senior leadership and other team members to write and edit in-depth service and product reviews across a range of topics for a leading aging-focused website. What You'll Be Doing Reporting to the Director of Content, the Staff Writer will: Write in-depth product reviews, comparisons, and roundups ("best of" lists). These will require writing in a voice that's captivating, deeply knowledgeable, and approachable. These reviews will be long-form and comprehensive ranging from 2,000-6,000 words each, with the target being 2–4 stories weekly. Conduct deep research in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly sources and translate this knowledge for a wider audience. Cultivate relationships with medical advisory teams and be able to work through expert medical review edits. Optimize/re-write existing content as our style guidelines, testing standards, and editorial standards evolve and improve. Uphold our high standards for editorial excellence as well as SEO and CRO best practices. Each piece of content must be optimized, on brand, targeted to meet our marketing goals, and delivered on time. Participate in product and service testing to be leveraged by you and P4 team members for in-depth insights. Leverage the P4 scholar program to expand your expertise and citable credentials. What You Bring Proven and citable experience, certifications, and other noteworthy authority in the categories in which you are writing 2–3 years of e-commerce writing experience ideally with a portfolio of existing author bylines on credible content-focused websites Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye toward SEO, click, and conversion rate optimization Knowledge of AP style Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at once and self-direct timelines Drive to quickly gain expertise on a subject matter that might be foreign to you Familiarity working in a challenging, fast-paced environment Experience working in common CMS platforms like WordPress Copy editing experience is preferred but not required What We Look For Openness to feedback and collaboration : You'll be working closely with folks across different teams, so you'll need to be open to the process and accepting of feedback and critique.
