At G&S Business Communications, we’re searching for an Account Executive who’s passionate about connecting ideas, stories, and audiences. You’ll help bring client strategies to life through smart execution, thoughtful collaboration, and exceptional attention to detail. From pitching media to developing content, this role blends creativity and precision to support some of the agency’s most dynamic client programs. Duties Supports execution of communications programs across multiple mediums, including earned media, digital, organic social media, broadcast, print publications, and sales collateral. Drafts and develops content such as media materials, paid and organic social copy, email copy, presentations, sales collateral and client updates with input from supervisor. Help execute annual print and digital media buys by ensuring appropriate ad creative is developed and submitted on time. Implements strategic plans and supports project timelines and budgets to ensure work is delivered accurately and on schedule. Assists in measuring and reporting program performance, translating results into insights aligned with client goals and actionable Works to develop a deep knowledge of client markets, products, and audiences, leveraging market insights to inform audience and channel strategies Supports media pitching and placement efforts, including updating media lists and helping secure earned media aligned with client objectives. Monitors media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments, escalating insights and opportunities to the account team. Provides regular, proactive updates to supervisors on assigned projects and responsibilities. Applies Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) principles to client work, ensuring content development, research, media relations, and measurement are designed for visibility and performance across AI driven search and discovery environments. Leverages and continually builds fluency in AI powered tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance the quality, speed, and effectiveness of client deliverables—while adhering to agency standards and best practices. Participates in agency staff and group meetings. Tracks and enters time accurately and on a timely basis. Skills/Qualifications 1–3 years of agency or corporate communications experience. Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and digital, social, and emerging communications channels. Ability to apply logical thinking to problem-solving and deliver practical, results-oriented solutions. Proactive mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. Foundational understanding of media relations and editorial placement. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, media, and colleagues. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Highly detail oriented and maintains a working knowledge of AP Style for writing Foundational awareness of AI-assisted tools (e.g., media monitoring, research, content drafting, summarization) and willingness to learn and apply them responsibly to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insights. We operate in an optional remote environment with offices in WI, IA, IL, NC & NYC. Alternatively, this role could be remote in the following states: NY, NJ, PA, NC, SC, MD, KY, IL, IO, MN, MI, MO, KS, NM, TX, WI, CO, FL & OH. Please confirm your location and/or relocation plans.
