Associate Key Account Manager
EMS-Chemie engages in the manufacture and distribution of polymers and other chemicals. Our Polyamides (Business Unit EMS-GRIVORY ) are used in applications in the market segments of automotive, industrial and consumer goods, electronics, healthcare, optics and packaging—products you are using in everyday life.
About the Role
Due to rapid growth in the US market, we are looking for an Associate Key Account Manager to identify, manage and commercialize new business opportunities in the Industrial and Consumer Goods Segments with EMS-GRIVORY's product portfolio. This position will be based out of our Auburn Hills, MI facility and offers a developmental path to Outside Sales and Key Account Manager roles.
Responsibilities
Identifies, manages and commercializes new business in the I&C Segments with EMS-GRIVORY's product portfolio.
Achieves new business development targets and marketing strategies required by management.
Provides input for long‑term, 3‑Year Plans and 1‑Year Plans for the I&C Segment.
Coordinates New Business Development and Key Account activities with Key Account Managers in Europe and Asia.
Establishes and maintains a strong relationship with customers and prospects.
Ensures effective market coverage to achieve maximum sales and profit results.
Analyzes market opportunities and develops programs to realize plans, recommending corrective measures when needed.
Communicates any market intelligence that affects competitiveness and customer risks.
Participates in trade shows/exhibitions where appropriate.
Ensures accurate and timely reporting of customer calls, expenses, itineraries, monthly reports, etc.
Conducts outbound calls to prospective customers and secures next‑step actions to further develop prospects.
Updates and adds customers to the CRM with all relevant information.
Sends introductory (and/or follow‑up) emails as necessary and maintains a prospect list with updates.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years relevant B2B experience in sales and business development.
Required Skills
Knowledge of polymers, especially polyamides, injection molding process, injection mold design or product design.
Analytical with good judgement, business sense, and problem‑solving skills.
A strong negotiator who can identify customer needs and present ideas persuasively.
A team player able to work interdependently.
Creative with entrepreneurial experience.
A relationship builder with good social and networking skills.
Structured work ethic with strong time management and project management ability.
