The Opportunity You will build for our core consumer: the Rebel with a Code. They are a culture-aware, fast-deciding 30–40-something who values protein-centric snacks with a strong brand story, great design, and a distinctive voice. As Brand Manager, you will own the brand strategy and bring it to life across retail, e-commerce, packaging, creative, partnerships, and campaigns, ensuring consistency across media, digital, print, and merch. You will translate consumer insights into growth through positioning, launches, and integrated marketing that drives awareness, trial, and repeat. This role requires strategic vision, discipline, urgency, and a genuine obsession with AI and automation as accelerators for creativity, speed, and insights.
Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Positioning
Own and evolve the Righteous Felon brand strategy to drive relevance, differentiation, and long-term growth
Translate consumer insights into clear positioning, messaging pillars, and brand storytelling that feels bold, authentic, and “outlaw”
Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints—retail, experiential activations, trade shows, e-commerce, social, paid media, PR, brand partnerships, packaging, and community events
Go-to-Market Leadership
Co-own the brand’s growth strategy with the CEO and VP of Marketing
Translate consumer, category, and channel insights into a clear brand plan and prioritized go-to-market plays, including launch briefs, messaging, creative direction, channel plans, and retail/e-commerce activation
Lead end-to-end go-to-market planning for new products, limited-time drops, and seasonal initiatives
Build launch plans that integrate creative, media, retail execution, sampling, influencer/creator activity, and e-commerce conversion
Coordinate cross-functional execution with Sales, E-commerce, Operations, Creative, and Finance to ensure timely, on-budget launches
AI, Automation & Standardization
Build AI-enabled workflows that accelerate brainstorming, concepting, campaign briefs, drafts, and testing plans
Synthesize insights from reviews, social comments, retailer notes, dashboards, and more
Enable rapid iteration of messaging, creative angles, data interpretation, and sell stories
Create and maintain a prompt + template library aligned to brand standards
Set up lightweight automations to reduce manual work and keep the team aligned
AI-assisted, human-owned: use AI to draft and explore, but own final work—maintain accuracy, compliance, and brand voice
Integrated Marketing & Campaign Development
Develop campaigns to grow awareness, drive trial, and increase repeat purchase across DTC and retail
Collaborate with internal and external creative resources to deliver high-performing assets
Partner with Performance Marketing to align brand-building and demand-driving efforts across channels
Consumer Insights & Category Intelligence
Monitor category, competitor, and cultural trends to keep the brand ahead
Use customer data, reviews, social listening, retailer feedback, and performance analytics to inform strategy
Conduct post-launch retrospectives to identify learnings and improve future performance
Retail & Shopper Marketing Support
Partner with Sales to support retailer needs with compelling sell stories, product narratives, and marketing materials
Develop shopper-facing programs (in-store displays, signage, demos, promotions) to drive conversion and velocity
Ensure brand presence and execution at key retail accounts aligns with strategy and feels premium
Budgeting, Measurement & Performance Management
Own brand marketing budgets; track spend and ROI
Define success metrics (awareness, trial, repeat, conversion, velocity, etc.)
Provide clear reporting and recommendations to leadership
Cross-Functional Leadership & Ownership
Act as the internal day-to-day owner of brand execution; push initiatives forward and drive cross-functional accountability
Manage agency and vendor partners as needed
Build scalable processes aligned with a fast-growing company
Required Qualifications 5+ years of brand management experience at a CPG food & beverage company
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
Proven ability to lead brand strategy and execute integrated marketing plans across retail and e-commerce
Strong experience leading go-to-market planning for product launches, innovations, and seasonal initiatives
AI + automation passion (required): actively use AI to move faster and build repeatable systems
Analytical mindset with comfort using data to guide decisions (consumer insights, velocity, ROAS/CPA)
Strong cross-functional leadership with Sales, E-commerce, Creative, Ops, and Finance
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to create clear briefs and compelling storytelling
Highly organized, execution-oriented, and comfortable in fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications MBA preferred
Experience with brands sold in major retailers (Costco, Walmart, Sam’s Club, BJ’s, etc.)
Background in snacks, protein, meat snacks, or better-for-you categories
Experience with DTC/e-commerce growth marketing and Amazon fundamentals
Experience managing agencies and external partners
Familiarity with consumer research methods
Strong creative instincts with ability to push bold work while protecting brand consistency
Experience building automations/workflows and lightweight dashboards
