Report Writer (Programmer-Analyst II)

Overview We are seeking a skilled Report Writer to join our team for our ERP system. The ERP implementation includes budget, purchasing, and finance modules. The ideal candidate will be proficient in gathering requirements from users and developing Reports and Dashboards. The candidate needs to have a working understanding of financial and operational reporting needs within an ERP environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain reports for various business needs related to budget, purchasing, and finance. Develop custom reports and optimize existing reports within a Cloud ERP system. Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reported data. Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues. Document report specifications, data sources, and report logic. Provide training and support to end-users on report usage. Stay up-to-date with new features and functionalities of Oracle Cloud ERP reporting tools. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proven experience as a Report and Dashboard Developer. Experience with SQL databases and SQL queries. Able to work with customers to gather requirements and to provide solutions that meet those requirements. Proficiency in data visualization, dashboard creation, and data source integration. Solid understanding of financial processes, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, and procurement. Ability to translate complex business requirements into effective reporting solutions. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Develop custom reports and optimize existing reports within Oracle Report Writer for the Oracle Cloud ERP system. Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of reported data. Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues. Document report specifications, data sources, and report logic. Provide training and support to end-users on report usage. Stay up-to-date with new features and functionalities of QuickSight and Oracle Cloud ERP reporting tools. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree, including or supplemented by courses in electronic computer programming, system analysis, and operating systems, and four (4) years of experience in the field of electronic computer programming. NOTE: The Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis with four (4) or more years of work experience as an Oracle Report Writer. Experience must still be supplemented by courses in electronic computer programming, system analysis, and operating systems. NOTE: This position requires a full background check. NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring at least two (2) days on-site in the office. Note: The County does not pay for relocation expenses. Starting salary will be based on experience and education; however, new hires will generally not go above the mid-range of the posted salary range.
