Role Description The Business Development Associate is an entry‑level role that supports the company’s sales, marketing, and customer engagement efforts. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to help identify new business opportunities, support existing customer relationships, maintain accurate customer relationship management (CRM) records, and assist with market research and sales enablement activities. This role is ideal for a recent graduate seeking hands‑on experience in business development, sales operations, and customer relationship management at a life science company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Support sales and marketing activities as a member of the business development team, from lead generation through account maintenance. Assist in maintaining the customer relationship management (CRM) system, including: Recording customer interactions, inquiries, and follow‑up actions. Ensuring customer and account data accuracy and completeness. Provide customers with information about products and services; support account inquiries and internal coordination related to customer requests. Assist with market research on products, potential markets, customers, and industry trends affecting existing and future business opportunities. Support the development of marketing and sales materials, including digital content, sales tools, and corporate literature. Help prepare internal reports, summaries, and basic analyses related to leads, opportunities, customers, markets, and competitors. Coordinate with internal teams to support customer service, order processing, and follow‑up activities as needed. Provides customers information about products or services, enters orders, supports accounts, and obtains details for inquiries. Expand product market and sales through innovative direct marketing efforts (website, social media, webinars). Qualifications The position requires an experienced, highly motivated person with a strong background in sales, marketing, and customer service. The candidate will have the following qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with CRM systems preferred. Must be able to present the company and themselves professionally both over the phone, virtually, and in person at various organizational levels. Must have exceptionally strong organizational skills and be detail-oriented. Must be able to manage time and efficiently transact business in a fast-paced environment.
