About EpicCyber
EpicCyber delivers Zero Trust Proficiency as a Service — senior cybersecurity talent on demand for enterprise and government security teams. The reality is that most organizations invest in world‑class zero trust platforms like Zscaler, CrowdStrike, and Okta, but lack the specialized talent to deploy, optimize, and operate them at full potential. That's where we come in. We close the proficiency gap so our customers actually get the security outcomes they paid for.
With 600,000+ platform seats deployed across 400+ enterprise and government clients and 10+ years as a trusted partner, we've proven that the difference between a zero trust investment and a zero trust capability is talent — and we are that talent.
Our services span the full lifecycle:
Deployment & Integration: Expert configuration and operationalization of zero trust platforms — completed in a fraction of the time and cost of DIY approaches.
Managed Security Services (MSSP): Ongoing monitoring, optimization, and remediation so clients stay protected as threats and environments evolve.
Health Monitoring & License Optimization: Continuous visibility into deployment health, configuration drift, feature utilization, and ROI — ensuring clients get full value from their security investments.
Proficiency on Demand: Embedded senior expertise that fills the talent gaps most organizations can't hire for fast enough — because zero trust doesn't work without the right people running it.
A major differentiator: we don't just serve customers — we're deeply embedded with our technology partners. Our co‑sell relationships with Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Okta, and other leading vendors mean warm introductions, joint pipeline, and a seat at the table with some of the biggest names in cybersecurity. As a BDR, you'll be right in the middle of those relationships.
Our values: co‑ownership of success, relentless focus on what matters, assured accountability, and disciplined execution. You are core to our team of teams. We have each other's backs. The fight is never over — and our job is to always be learning.
The Role
This is a high‑energy, people‑first role in a busy Boston office — and we want it to stay that way. We're looking for someone outgoing, curious, and sharp who thrives on conversation, builds relationships naturally, and genuinely enjoys being around people all day. If you're the kind of person who lights up a room, picks up the phone without hesitation, and wants to learn cybersecurity from the inside out — keep reading.
You’ll be on the front lines generating pipeline, but a big part of this role is building and nurturing relationships with our technology partner teams. That means getting to know the account reps at Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Okta, and others — understanding their deals, sharing intel, showing up to co‑sell meetings, and becoming someone they think of first when an opportunity fits EpicCyber. This is relationship‑driven business development, not just dial‑and‑smile.
What You’ll Do
Outbound Prospecting: Research and engage target accounts — enterprise and government IT/security teams — through cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn social selling to generate new pipeline.
Partner Relationship Development: Integrate into our technology partners' sales teams — build personal relationships with partner AEs and channel managers, attend joint pipeline meetings, and drive co‑sell opportunities.
Inbound Lead Qualification: Respond to and qualify inbound inquiries from co‑sell partner referrals and direct interest, assessing fit and urgency to route the right opportunities to our sales team.
Demo Scheduling & Pipeline Building: Book qualified meetings and service consultations for Account Executives, keeping our pipeline healthy and growing.
Account Research & Mapping: Identify key stakeholders (CISOs, VPs of IT/Security, Compliance leaders) within target organizations and map buying committees.
CRM Discipline: Maintain accurate records of all outreach, conversations, and pipeline activity in HubSpot.
Market Intelligence: Stay current on zero trust, SASE, identity (IAM), endpoint protection, and cloud‑native security trends to have credible, consultative conversations with prospects and partners.
What We’re Looking For
A people person, full stop. You're outgoing, social, and energized by being around others — not drained by it. You want to be in the office, in the mix, every day.
Competitive team athlete mentality. We love candidates who were top performers on team sports — you know how to compete hard, lift up your teammates, embrace coaching, and push through when it gets tough. That mindset translates directly to this role.
Hunger to win and a genuine curiosity about cybersecurity — we're open to all experience levels, from recent graduates to seasoned BDRs.
A natural relationship builder who earns trust quickly — with prospects, partners, and teammates alike.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the confidence to engage senior IT and security leaders in enterprise and government.
Resilience and a positive attitude — you see "no" as one step closer to "yes."
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage high‑volume outreach without sacrificing quality.
Familiarity with sales tools (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo) is a plus.
Zscaler experience is a big plus. If you've sold, supported, or worked alongside Zscaler in any capacity, you'll ramp faster and hit the ground running with our partners and customers.
Prior exposure to cybersecurity, zero trust technologies (CrowdStrike, Okta, or similar), SaaS, or managed services is also a bonus — but not required.
Why EpicCyber?
