Market Research Associate, North American Banks Business & Relationship Management (BRM) is seeking a Market Research Associate based in our New York office. In this marketing and relationship‑management support role, you will report to a Senior Director on the Banks team with the primary objective of originating new rating mandates while managing and optimizing key existing relationships in the dynamic North American Banks sector. Key responsibilities include: Track, organize, and maintain a comprehensive and accurate database of current and prospective banks and transactions. Coordinate data related to current and prospective deals with Fitch’s finance team to ensure proper and timely invoicing, and prepare summaries related to business and revenue growth for senior management. Process associated billing and manage revenue to maintain high visibility directly from senior management. Maintain data within MS Excel and other tools/dashboards; assist in creating and maintaining templates for recurring reports. Research and identify new business opportunities in the North American Banks sector; monitor competitor rating actions, M&A activity, and debt issuance. Prepare commercial agreement documents and proactively monitor deal status, following up with internal and external stakeholders. Schedule and attend client meetings, take detailed notes, and maintain data in internal systems at the direction of senior BRMs. Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to improve data and revenue management efficiency. Keep data on current and prospective deals up to date, coordinating closely with Fitch’s finance team for invoicing and revenue reporting. Assist in billing processes and ensure proper revenue management. Maintain accuracy and consistency in MS Excel and other data tools. Research and identify business opportunities in the North American Banks sector. Prepare commercial agreement documents and monitor deal status. Schedule and attend client meetings, taking detailed notes and maintaining data. Identify and implement process improvements and automation. What You Need To Have A relevant university degree, preferably in business, finance, economics, or data analytics. Excellent Excel/data‑analytic skills (lookups, index, pivot tables, macros, formulas). Strong PowerPoint presentation skills. Excellent communication skills in English; other languages are an advantage. Aptitude to learn new data systems and incorporate them into research. What Would Make You Stand Out Attention to detail.
