
Account Executive II

Summary/Objectives
The Account Executive – Tier II (AE II) is an experienced outside sales professional responsible for driving consistent revenue growth through strategic prospecting, pipeline development, and management of complex sales opportunities within an assigned territory. This role requires a higher level of sales proficiency, customer relationship management, and deal progression than Tier I, with a strong focus on maintaining a healthy pipeline and closing business at or above quota.
Essential Functions
Own and manage a defined sales territory with minimal oversight
Prospect strategically to generate net-new and zero-base (ZBA) opportunities
Maintain and grow an existing customer base through consultative selling
Conduct QBRs, needs assessments, proposals, and executive-level presentations
Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and move deals efficiently through the sales process
Demonstrate advanced product and solution knowledge
Resolve customer concerns and objections professionally
Maintain accurate CRM data, forecasts, and pipeline hygiene
Participate in ongoing training and professional development
The Account Executive – Tier II is expected to have strong working knowledge in the following solution areas:
Copier / Multifunctional Printers
Managed Print Services
Wide Format
High Volume
Software
Sales Performance
Close enough business weekly to remain on pace for quota (typically 1–2 deals per week)
Meet or exceed monthly sales objectives as set by Sales Management
Professional Growth & Development
Attend weekly sales meetings
Complete required vendor training and certifications
Conduct equipment walkthroughs, need assessments, and site surveys independently
Dress professionally and appropriately
Communicate timely, professionally, and collaboratively with all departments
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
This position requires frequent communication, standing, walking, and occasional lifting associated with customer meetings and equipment demonstrations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Minimum Travel Required Within Assigned Territory.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma required
Demonstrated success in an outside sales role preferred
Preferred Education And Experience
Prior sales or customer-facing experience preferred
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
