The federal business development and sales professional will help facilitate growth opportunities for Braxton‑Grant, primarily by leveraging Braxton‑Grant’s multiple award contracts to identify and pursue opportunities. Included in Braxton‑Grant’s portfolio is the Army ITES‑4H contract, and the role will work with the ID/IQ Program Manager to create business development strategies to encourage success for the company and achieve organizational goals with an emphasis on the ARMY ITES‑4H contract. Job Responsibilities Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business deals/relationships. Identify emerging ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements. Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential customers and partners. Discover and explore new business opportunities. Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, and financials. Evaluate options and resolve internal priorities. Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new opportunities with company strategies and operations. Analyze and qualify opportunities on Braxton‑Grant’s contract vehicles for viability of pursuit. Participate with ID/IQ Program Manager for cost analysis of potential task order and contract pursuits. Develop and write proposals in response to solicitation requirements. Examine risks and opportunities related to business pursuits. Collaborate with partners and subcontractors. Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Work with Braxton‑Grant delivery teams to explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Identify and communicate organic growth opportunities on existing contracts. Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen. Prefer TS/SCI Clearance. Must have experience selling to U.S. Army. Education and/or Experience Retired U.S. Army a plus. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or relevant field. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. 10 years of proven experience in business development and technical writing. Additional Qualifications Stakeholder management skills. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or other relevant role. Extensive experience developing/writing proposals. Proven marketing/business development track record. Federal Government (particularly U.S. Army) and commercial market knowledge. Ability to build rapport. Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Excellent time management skills. Prospecting skills.
