Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary: The Marketing Entrepreneurship Fellow is a part-time student position within VSB’s Center for Marketing and Consumer Insights, designed for an undergraduate marketing major with a keen interest in pursuing a career at the intersection of marketing and entrepreneurship. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience, receive mentorship, and develop an entrepreneurial skillset.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete the VSB Entrepreneurship Certificate program.
Coordinate and participate in mentorship sessions with alumni entrepreneurs. Maintain those connections that are relevant to the Fellow’s entrepreneurial goals.
Learn about entrepreneurship and develop an entrepreneurial mindset.
Develop, manage, and promote entrepreneurial events and initiatives around marketing (workshops, seminars, networking) through social media, etc.
Understand and analyze different start‑up models across industries through market research to identify trends and new venture opportunities.
Apply entrepreneurial principles to diverse career paths, create engaging content for VSB entrepreneurs to highlight success stories and resources.
Explore various entrepreneurial careers to develop and refine your and others’ business plans. Achieve a marked entrepreneurial output; pursue a specific idea and move it forward toward launch. This could include:
Identifying a business idea and conducting thorough market research
Testing the fit through a comprehensive business plan
Raising capital funding
Choosing a legal structure and registering your business
Building a brand identity and launching a website
Requirements:
Currently enrolled as a VSB undergraduate student majoring in Marketing.
Strong interest in entrepreneurship and marketing.
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
