The Role
As a Business Development Representative, you'll play a key role in our outbound sales motion. Working directly with our CEO, sales team, and marketing, you'll identify target accounts, initiate conversations with decision-makers, and create qualified opportunities that drive our European expansion. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences our growth trajectory. You'll contribute to our outbound playbook, test messaging strategies, and help establish processes that scale as we grow globally.
What You'll Do
Identify and engage target accounts
Research and prioritize law firms, PE firms, corporate M&A teams
Build targeted lists of decision-makers
Execute multi‑channel outreach campaigns using email, LinkedIn, and phone
Qualify opportunities and book meetings
Conduct discovery conversations to understand prospect deal processes and pain points
Assess fit based on deal volume and team size
Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives with clear context and next steps
Collaborate and improve
Partner with Account Executives to refine qualification criteria and handoff processes
Work with Marketing to align on messaging, campaigns, and target segments
Share market insights to help improve positioning and outreach effectiveness
Maintain accurate pipeline data and activity tracking in HubSpot
What We're Looking For
Required:
Fluent in English
+2 years of experience in BDR/SDR, business development, or outbound sales
Comfortable with cold outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn
Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts clearly
Organized approach to managing pipeline and following up consistently
Self‑motivated with ability to work independently and take initiative
Authorized to work in Belgium/EU
Valued:
Experience selling to law firms, PE firms, or financial services organizations
Familiarity with B2B SaaS sales processes and tools (HubSpot)
Background or interest in legal, finance, or M&A
Dutch, French or German language skills
Experience in early‑stage or high‑growth companies

What Success Looks Like
First 3 months:
Ramp up on our product, market, and ideal customer profile
Execute outbound campaigns and book your first qualified meetings
Develop your voice and approach to engaging dealmakers
First 6 months:
Consistently meet monthly meeting targets
Build a reliable pipeline of qualified opportunities
Refine messaging based on market feedback
First 12 months:
Exceed targets and demonstrate readiness for Account Executive responsibilities
Contribute meaningfully to our sales playbook and processes
Help onboard the next BDR hire
Base salary : Above‑market base
Commission : Tied to meetings booked and influenced pipeline
Work arrangement : Full‑time on‑site in Ghent
Equipment : MacBook and iPhone with subscription
