
Sales & Marketing Analyst

The Sales and Marketing Analyst’s role is to design data modeling/analysis services used to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that support sales and marketing initiatives. This individual is also responsible for assisting in building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation. This role will partner with key stakeholders in Sales and Marketing to support the overall business needs of these departments, including but not limited to sales and marketing performance reporting, goal maintenance, lead management, sales pipeline management, sales incentive support, sales and marketing campaigns analysis, sales contests, sales portfolios, market and branch analytics, member trends, and CRM management. The position requires strong knowledge of financial products, such as loans and shares.
Duties and Responsibilities Devises, develops, and deploys required data queries in response to strategic objectives, business initiatives and business needs to understand and improve performance.
In conjunction with data owners and department managers, develops data models and protocols for mining production databases
Assists in the development of data management policies and procedures.
Identifies research questions, problem solves using data analysis, and communicates the results to various stakeholders
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
Queries and extracts data from KEMBA’s data warehouse (Snowflake), Jack Henry core, and related systems to support marketing and sales requests
Develops and maintains recurring dashboards and reports in Power BI that visualize key marketing and sales metrics (member growth, product penetration, campaign ROI, pipeline conversion, etc.)
Automates and optimizes recurring data processes, improving accuracy and efficiency across departments
Partners with Marketing to build and analyze campaign performance reports (digital, direct, branch, and product campaigns)
Supports Sales leadership with dashboards and data pulls that track pipeline activity, conversion rates, and member engagement
Identifies opportunities for cross-sell, upsell, and member segmentation using existing data
Provides ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to guide strategic initiatives such as deposit growth, loan acquisition, or branch performance
Accurately inputs, updates, and maintains data within manual tables as needed to support reporting requirements
Builds and maintains sales performance reporting suite, such as scorecards, with supporting detail and trend views
Processes data corrections that impact sales performance results to ensure incentive can be calculated and paid on time; researches associate questions about sales results and solve any upstream data issues
Owns Sales Lead Development, Distribution and Reporting; creates ad hoc calling leads; loads leads into leads tool, maintains and analyzes lead campaign effectiveness
Identifies and communicates the time and resources needed to achieve required results
Works closely with data governance teams to enforce data policies and standards
Assists in the design of databases and data warehouses to ensure interoperability with BI solutions
Communicates complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner
Conducts job duties and responsibilities according to the organization’s business systems development methodology and/or its Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
Troubleshoots BI tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary
Acts as evangelist for BI benefits across the organization; promote BI usage to relevant departments
Acts as the subject matter expert for produced reports and underlying data
Solicits feedback through daily interactions with Sales and Marketing teams to understand business priorities and apply this knowledge to task prioritization
Helps drive discipline and accuracy around CRM data entry and pipeline management
Monitors data management system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time, and implement efficiency improvements
Provides ad hoc reporting or analysis as requested
Performs all duties in a manner that is fully compliant with applicable industry regulations as well as KEMBA policy and procedures
Develops an understanding of Credit Union history, philosophy, organization, policies, and operational procedures
On a self-direct basis, continues to improve individual level of competency through training and certification on established educational programs
Relates to others beyond giving and receiving instructions:

Required Qualifications College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or data engineering
Minimum of 3 years’ direct work experience, analyzing financial product data on a cloud-based data warehouse
Experience building, using and managing data warehouses, using MS SQL Server, Google Cloud, Snowflake, and similar
Proficiency in SQL, data manipulation, and database management
Demonstrated ability with multi-system reporting skills (SQL, report development, design, and automation)
Report building experience using BI tools. MS Power BI and Sigma Computing preferred
Knowledge of database design, performance tuning and troubleshooting
Proven skill in prioritizing and simultaneously managing deadlines, ad hoc requests, and regular deliverables.
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, for creation of reporting slide decks
Understand and follow the organization’s goals and objectives
Basic knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Strong written and oral communication skills
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to work non-standard hours when required
