OVERVIEW We’re on the hunt for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our dynamic independent pet sales team! Our most successful team members are self-starters with winning mindsets, adeptly managing multiple accounts to achieve ambitious goals.
In this pivotal role, you’ll get to completely own your territory - strengthening business with existing accounts and forging valuable new relationships to drive growth. You’ll have the exciting opportunity to sell all Antelope brands, including Bocce’s Bakery, Diggin’ Your Dog / Super Snouts, Ark Naturals, and My Perfect Pet.
Travel is required for field coverage, including trade shows and sales meetings, which will involve overnight stays. Territory includes: IL, MN, WI, MI, MO, NE, IA, KS, ND, SD. If you’re ready to make an impact in the pet industry, we want to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivate and expand relationships with both new and existing accounts
Drive lead generation, prospecting, qualification, and closing of potential new customers
Educate prospects on the value of all Antelope products and services through compelling pitches and trainings
Leverage provided data and CRM tools to enhance sales strategies and pinpoint growth opportunities
Effectively manage within a designated trade budget
Collaborate with team members and support each other to win
Adapt and lend support wherever needed as Antelope continues to grow!
QUALIFICATIONS Experience in CPG sales, preferably within the pet industry or natural/wellness categories
Proven success managing and growing a territory, with clear ownership of revenue targets and percent-to-plan performance
Experience building new business from cold - including door knocking, opening new accounts, and expanding distribution
Strong understanding of the independent pet channel and distributor dynamics
Demonstrated ability to articulate product differentiation clearly, including ingredient-level and functional benefits
Track record of using data and KPIs to prioritize accounts, pace against quota, and drive consistent growth
Comfortable operating independently in a remote, field-based role
Scrappy, resourceful, and energized by building in a fast-growing environment
Passion for pets and genuine commitment to the independent pet channel
