Produce Marketing Specialist

Labatt Food Service seeks a Produce Marketing Specialist to buy and sell fresh produce through the company’s sales force. The position involves learning all aspects of the produce business, including technical product knowledge from growing regions all over the world, to sourcing product from manufacturers and brokers, to selling produce products through sales representatives on a large customer base. Position works directly with the Produce Manager and provides the opportunity to learn an entire business within a business, including separate P&L performance measurement. The position involves developing technical product expertise on all produce vendor lines. Sales and marketing plans are developed and executed to grow these lines through the existing 3500+ company customers. The successful candidate should be college degreed in RHIM, Marketing, or a business related field. Food service and/or produce experience preferred. Individual will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and with confidence to food service directors, chefs, managers, and owners through one on one meetings, presentations, and correspondence. Must work well with people and have good time management skills. Bachelor’s degree required. Microsoft Office expertise mandatory. Bilingual, English and Spanish, strongly preferred.
