Your Role The Executive Director of Business Development is responsible for driving new customer acquisitions, expanding strategic accounts, and supporting revenue growth for BioTechnique LLC. This position identifies, qualifies, and closes new business opportunities spanning BioTechnique’s full business services, acting as a strategic partner to clients in the life sciences. Develop and execute business development strategies to identify and secure new opportunities and long-term partnerships to achieve annual revenue and margin goals. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders. Build and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools and provide accurate forecasting and reporting to senior leadership. Follow and improve (as needed) the business development and customer evaluation process. Lead the development of proposals, quotes, and service agreements. Effectively negotiate terms balancing client satisfaction and profitable growth. Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape, collaborating with internal teams to align business development efforts with overall company goals and objectives. Serve as primary contact for prospective clients, ensuring exceptional communication and services. Travel to customer sites and host potential client visits onsite at the facility, as needed to close a deal. Represent BioTechnique at required tradeshows, conferences, and industry events. Additional responsibilities as required to drive successful business growth. Requirements Bachelors Degree in business administration, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred). 15+ years of experience in business development and sales in the CDMO space. Strong understanding of contract development manufacturing and drug development services. Proven track record of meeting and exceeding target revenue goals and closing complex technical deals. Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and results driven. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Travel is required. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. No C2C at this time.
