Summary The Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The role requires supporting day-to-day account management for a specific set of clients, with extensive verbal, electronic and written communications. The Account Manager I will work with senior team members to manage renewal and marketing processes and prepare materials for presentations and communications. This role begins with learning to manage a book of business under senior direction and developing relationships with clients and carrier contacts to deliver services proactively and efficiently. Supervision and direction from more senior team members are required as the individual learns to manage clients from start to finish.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Preparing pre-renewal presentations for internal strategy sessions
Presenting pre-renewal presentations to clients with Account Executives
Collecting renewal information from clients and preparing submissions for annual renewal policies
Working with senior team members to send requests for proposals to applicable insurance carriers
Negotiating the insurance renewal with multiple carriers
Reviewing quotes against submissions, current coverage, and alternative options
Preparing and presenting insurance proposals to clients
Reviewing policies to ensure accuracy
Creating and maintaining client files in accordance with office procedures and agency management system records
Tracking ongoing account activities and facilitating regular update calls with the client
Tracking and updating bordereaux for blanket policies (e.g., Builders Risk, Wrap Up)
Reviewing contracts and providing thorough contract reviews to clients, coordinating with owners insurance advisor if necessary
Working with Account Coordinator or Resource Team to issue certificates and invoices
Conducting marketing exercises for bids/tenders outside of annual programs
Presenting updates on claims to clients
Assisting with billing questions from clients and insurance carrier personnel with Accounting support when necessary
Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-confident to make sound independent decisions
Ability to interact with a variety of people and work effectively in a team or autonomously
Calm, courteous and professional demeanor
Customer-focused with ability to establish and maintain relationships
Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Ability to read, analyze and reconcile financial reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail, decisive, and capable of resolving problems
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, deadlines and technology
Education and/or Experience Associates degree (or equivalent); BA/BS preferred
More than 3 years’ client service and/or industry and product experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registration Appropriately licensed or ability to obtain licensing if required

The base salary range for this position is $47,000.00 – $86,000.00 and will be determined by factors including experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level, scope of the position, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
