About The Role The Custom Design Consultant supports the full lifecycle of custom and semi‑custom trimming projects, from initial concept through production execution. This role ensures administrative accuracy, client communication, and cross‑functional coordination to deliver high‑quality custom products within designated territories. As an individual contributor, the Consultant plays a critical role in maintaining order precision, supporting developmental sales exposure, and contributing to overall client satisfaction. What You Will Do Manage custom and semi‑custom trimming inquiries from initial concept through production, guiding clients on timelines, sampling procedures, approvals, and minimum requirements. Coordinate custom trimming quotes and orders, including color layout, order entry, purchasing collaboration, yarn sampling, and production tracking. Prepare detailed shop drawings and order specifications to ensure accurate client verification prior to production. Maintain accurate documentation within the custom quote tracking system, including comprehensive internal and client‑facing notes. Prepare and distribute approval packages to secure timely client sign‑off and coordinate shipment of custom samples. Review vendor shipments and mill packing slips to ensure order accuracy and communicate necessary instructions to internal teams. Input vendor shipments with proper territory coding for Accounting and Shipping alignment. Support custom dyeing and pattern development decisions under management supervision. Identify and resolve technical development challenges to align production outcomes with client design intent. Contribute to workflow improvements that enhance efficiency and service quality within the Custom Department. Other duties as assigned by Senior Management. What We’re Looking For Education & Experience Associate or Bachelor’s Degree. 2–4 years of administrative, client service, or showroom experience. Strong organizational and communication skills. Sales or showroom experience within a design‑oriented environment. Design background or related industry experience. Technical Skills Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design software (preferred). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to interpret shop drawings and technical specifications. Familiarity with order entry. Soft Skills Clear and professional communication. Strong collaboration skills across departments.
