The Opportunity
North American Marketing & Sales Strategy Professional is responsible for supporting strategic initiatives, market intelligence, and the development and execution of marketing and sales strategies to drive business growth and strengthen market positioning. This role requires proactive engagement with cross‑functional teams, leveraging market data, and contributing to both short‑term and long‑term objectives.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Market & Competitive Intelligence
Own, lead and continuously enhance the development of quarterly competitor intelligence reports of top competitors, delivering North America‑specific insights derived from public sources, third‑party sources and internal data & intelligence. Proactively identify and analyze emerging competitors through targeted deep‑dive assessments.
Drive and execute comprehensive market research to monitor trends, industry drivers, regulatory shifts, announcements, forecasts, and market sizing. Ensure alignment and integration with Business Unit Market Intelligence activities to maintain a unified market understanding.
Own, evolve, and optimise the North America Valona platform to maximise usability and insight delivery for the region.
Own and deliver North America full market analysis for the region by defined value pools to drive alignment across the company during the yearly Market Insight & Global Target setting process.
Develop and maintain long‑term market evolution scenarios to support country strategic planning, incorporating variables such as pricing scenarios, advanced buying behaviours, and lead‑time dynamics.
Support yearly market insight & market outlook process.
Develop and implement processes to better represent competitor market share within Salesforce in collaboration with Sales Operations, Front‑End Sales and Business Unit teams.
Champion the use of artificial intelligence tools to develop innovative market intelligence use cases. Experiment, validate, and operationalise AI‑powered approaches that elevate the speed, accuracy, and predictive value of insights.
Corporate & Business Strategy Alignment
Support yearly global target setting process.
Support the development of Hitachi Energy's long‑term strategic targets by segment and business units.
Collaborate with Sales Operations to leverage Voice of Customer into long‑term strategy.
Go to Market Strategy & Commercial Enablement
Support commercial strategy and perform sales coverage analysis.
Develop and design yearly methodology to review customer base performance across business units to support sales leadership and commercial strategy (insights‑driven framework that integrates order intake, long‑term pipeline visibility and growth indicators).
Identify potential new customers to engage based on long‑term potential related to Hitachi Energy portfolio.
Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years’ experience in marketing, data analytics, or related field.
Experience with market research, competitive analysis, and marketing strategy development.
Experience in utility market is preferred.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Proficiency with marketing intelligence tools (e.g., Valona, M365 Copilot) is a plus.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to autonomously manage multiple priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
