Role Description
This is a high-visibility, high-accountability role. You’ll own your territory, build your pipeline, and close projects ranging from residence hall renovations to new construction. If you’re the type who prefers face-to-face meetings over emails and understands that trust wins in higher education, this role is for you.
Core Responsibilities
Territory Development
Build and maintain a $3M+ annual pipeline.
Conduct in-person campus visits weekly throughout the territory.
Develop relationships with Directors of Residence Life, Housing Operations, Facilities Directors, Procurement Officers, and VPs of Student Affairs.
Identify renovation cycles and new construction opportunities aligned with university budget timelines.
Deliver product presentations, mock-ups, and finish selections.
Coordinate quotes, pricing, freight, and project timelines with internal client service teams.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation through project completion.
Track all activity, notes, and opportunities in CRM consistently.
Industry Engagement
Attend regional and national trade shows (e.g., ACUHO-I and regional housing conferences).
Network with university decision-makers and industry partners.
Position the company as a long-term housing furniture partner—not a one-off vendor.
Experience & Preferences
Experience with Student housing living & bedroom furniture, lobby/common area furniture is preferred.
Must be self-motivated with excellent organization & communication skills
High level negotiating skills is preferred
Residence in New England/NYC area required based on territory
Travel is required to meet sales expectations
Role may require some nights & weekends
Must provide own transportation & cell phone.
