
Field Marketing Manager (Supporting Suntory FMB)

The Field Marketing Manager (FMM) is responsible for building the local face of the Suntory FMB brands in the most relevant way and in line with the national strategies and priorities.
They build strong local networks, including opinion‑leaders and key influencers leveraging On Premise, Off Premise and New Business opportunities while encompassing local needs.
FMMs embody our commitment to giving a local face to the brand. The FMM is based ‘in the field’ to bring the brand to life locally.
Strategic Direction
Infuse Suntory FMB priorities, strategies and the Suntory philosophy in the field focusing on building a local face of our brand.
Ensure exceptional understanding of the consumer in various fields across the region which forms the basis of local idea generation and execution.
Define ideas and programs which build brand image and increase understanding of the product functionality on a local level. Lead local intelligence, sharing market insights (consumer insights, competitors, etc.) with the sales team.
Ensure a strong line up of local events where the brand can activate, sample, and sell products, by leveraging local network.
Work in conjunction with sales to build consumer share of mind within On Premise, Off Premise and New Business environments and ensuring the product is within arms‑reach of every field marketing activity.
Work closely with National Marketing, Industry Affairs, Intellectual Property and Sales to ensure local programming adheres to brand guidelines, state and federal regulations, and properly protects our intellectual property.
Work cross‑functionally, managing internal and external requests in line with the annual business plan priorities.
Create and support local key events, scenes and marketing opportunities in line with the Suntory FMB brand values and relevant to the local consumer and media landscape, with a focus on participation.
Drive positive consumer experiences with the brand through meticulous attention to detail and premium execution across all field marketing activities, including events.
Always have the “consumer” and “brand” eye in every single initiative and ensure we communicate with consumers as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Leverage an established local network to identify partnership opportunities, develop creative marketing activations, and drive program execution from day one. The successful candidate will bring demonstrated examples of building and activating local partnerships to support brand growth.
Manage procurement of promotional materials to support regional and local programs, utilizing centralized procurement options.
Lead management of local sampling agency including weekly check‑ins ensuring regional reporting and tracking.
Marketing Innovation
Understand the latest generational trends by being close to our consumers and talking to our networks in diverse environments.
Involve the local team in idea generation for the field to identify consumer trends early.
Develop innovative, locally relevant programs that bring the brand to life by leveraging key networks, cultural scenes, and opinion leaders.
Ensure digital and social media sit at the heart of every field marketing activity. Identify and selectively support cross‑marketing opportunities.
Organizational Capabilities & Driving Efficiencies
Act as a role model and display the Suntory FMB values with a consistent tone of voice that is motivating and inspiring.
Develop and manage the regional budget and constantly identify cost‑saving opportunities and other efficiencies for the company in the region.
Provide input and recommendations for all incremental program and funding requests to maximize and track return on investment (ROI).
Manage field expenses and general administration.
Build smart and mutually beneficial partnerships by working with other brands, organizations, and networks that bring added value, such as expertise, networks, goods, budget, or facilities.
Manage budget to maximize effectiveness.
Create and maintain account files with up‑to‑date information.
Evening and weekend hours are required, a field‑based role with extensive driving to accounts.
Minimum Requirements (Education, Experience, Qualifications, Skills, Abilities)
3+ min years of marketing experience.
Experience in working with commercial teams – general sales or trade marketing.
Proven background in negotiation and management of budgets.
A ‘connector’ who has excellent communication and networking skills, who can open doors and excite people with innovative ideas.
A highly motivated self‑starter who is comfortable taking initiative, responding quickly to challenges, and ensuring work is executed efficiently and effectively.
Strong leadership, planning, and project management skills.
A continual understanding of consumer trends and insights.
A creative marketer with depth in brand understanding and innovation at the heart who puts new ideas into practice.
Ability to multitask and work in cross‑functional teams with different objectives and personalities.
Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing, including presenting and training abilities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Must be fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
Must have a valid US driver’s license.
This position is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or individuals who are currently authorized to work in the United States.
The base salary range for this position is $90,000-$95,000. Actual salary offers may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
