Social Media Intern Location: Brooklyn, NY Position Type: Internship (70% Remote / 30% In-Person) Schedule: Flexible Hours, 5–10 hours to start (may increase or change depending on the month) Salary: Paid or Unpaid, Based on Experience Internship Overview A social media agency based in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a motivated, creative, and skilled Social Media Intern to join its growing team. This internship is ideal for someone who already has a strong interest in social media and digital content and is looking to gain hands‑on experience working with real clients and campaigns. This is not a passive internship. We are looking for someone who can actively contribute ideas, execute content, and support day‑to‑day social media operations while learning agency workflows and best practices. The role offers flexibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to grow alongside an experienced creative team. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Support Assist in creating engaging content for social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn Support content planning, scheduling, and posting across multiple client accounts Help source visuals, write captions, and adapt content to different brand voices Community & Platform Management Assist with monitoring comments, messages, and engagement Help track trends, hashtags, and platform updates Support basic community management tasks Strategy & Research Research social media trends, competitors, and content ideas Assist with brainstorming creative concepts and campaign ideas Support reporting on post performance and engagement metrics Agency & Team Support Collaborate with designers, strategists, and account managers Assist with content calendars and client deliverables Participate in occasional in‑person meetings, shoots, or brainstorming sessions Ideal Candidate Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing Comfortable using platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn Has basic skills in content creation, copywriting, or video editing Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute ideas Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with social media platforms and trends Strong communication and writing skills Organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe tools, or similar software is a plus Schedule & Flexibility Flexible hours with a starting commitment of 5–10 hours per week Schedule may change depending on workload and time of year Hybrid structure with majority remote work What You’ll Gain Hands‑on experience working at a social media agency Exposure to multiple brands and industries Opportunity to build a real‑world portfolio Mentorship from experienced social media professionals Potential for paid opportunities or expanded responsibilities #J-18808-Ljbffr
