Graphic Design & Permitting Specialist

Create detailed UL-compliant shop drawings, wiring diagrams, and structural fabrication blueprints for signage using CorelDRAW. Bridge the gap between conceptual sales designs and production, ensuring electrical efficiency and compliance for manufacturing and installation.

Responsibilities

Technical Drawings: Produce fabrication-ready, detailed drawings including UL (Underwriters Laboratories) compliance, structural requirements, and electrical schematics.

Design & Engineering: Create electrical, lighting, and wiring plans (e.g., LED layouts, neon, transformers).

Permitting & Production: Develop permit packages and detailed shop drawings used for fabrication and installation.

Collaboration: Work with sales teams, project managers, and fabricators to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.

Software Proficiency: Utilize CAD tools, CorelDRAW to produce high-quality, accurate visuals.

Manage the permitting process from submission to final approval.

Have an understanding of zoning codes and how to find them

Understand wind load calculations

Understand structural attachment methods

Understand foundation requirements

Capable of reading stamped engineering drawings

Knowledge of when engineering would be required vs not

Understanding of electrical load requirements

Strong competency with documentation organization and record-keeping
