
Digital Content Specialist

cj Advertising is seeking a detail-driven Digital Content Specialist to support our web content team. In this role, the ideal candidate will create informative, engaging, and search-optimized legal content that helps personal injury law firms reach prospective clients while adhering to both accuracy and local Bar Association advertising regulations. The candidate will collaborate closely with SEO strategists, web designers, and account managers to produce content that satisfies Google’s EEAT standards while supporting organic visibility and client acquisition.
The ideal candidate has strong writing, editing, and research skills. They are comfortable translating complex legal concepts into clear, consumer-friendly messaging while ensuring claims are verifiable and supported by authoritative sources. This role requires balancing creativity, SEO knowledge, and editorial integrity across websites, blogs, social media, paid and organic search, and other digital channels, while using AI tools responsibly to support—never replace—human expertise and judgment.
Key Responsibilities
Write, edit, and proof EEAT-aligned, SEO-optimized content for law firm websites, landing pages, blogs, social media posts, email campaigns and newsletters, press releases, podcast scripts, and other legal advertising initiatives
Use AI-assisted tools to support content outlining and initial proofreading, while ensuring all final content is human-reviewed, fact-checked, and legally compliant
Collaborate with SEO strategists to apply keyword research, search intent analysis, and determination of content gaps to topic development and content planning
Translate complex legal topics into clear, accurate, and audience-appropriate content that reflects real-world legal experience and subject-matter expertise
Ensure all content is factually accurate and compliant, avoiding misleading claims and adhering to applicable legal advertising regulations
Optimize on-page elements including headlines, metadata, internal linking, schema-informed structure, and calls to action to support search visibility and user confidence
Apply editorial best practices that reinforce EEAT, such as citing authoritative sources, reinforcing attorney credentials, and maintaining consistent legal terminology
Proof content to ensure it is free of spelling, grammatical, factual, and formatting errors while confirming SEO best practices, linking strategy, and brand compliance
Manage blog and social content calendars and coordinate timely publishing for all web content clients
Job Requirements
[SK1] 3+ years of experience writing and editing digital SEO-optimized content, preferably in legal marketing
Fluency in AP-style and proofreading copy in adherence to strict style guides
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong emphasis on accuracy and clarity
Familiarity with using AI-powered tools to assist with content outlining and proofreading, with the ability to critically evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs
Understanding of responsible AI use, including bias awareness, fact verification, and maintaining editorial and legal integrity
Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced [SK2] environment
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Proficiency with content management systems, analytics tools, and digital marketing platforms such as ClickUp, Airtable, Hootsuite, Canva, and SEO tools like Google Search Console and SEMrush (preferred)
