Our Fortune 500 insurance client is seeking a Product Designer to help deliver customer-centered digital experiences on a large-scale platform used across their ecosystem. This individual will partner with a Lead Product Designer and a cross-functional Agile team to translate complex problems into clear, intuitive workflows and product experiences.
This is a hands-on design role focused on building high-quality digital products, simplifying complex workflows, and continuously improving the user experience through feedback, research, and data.
Key Responsibilities Partner with the Lead Product Designer and cross-functional team (Product, Engineering, Implementation) to deliver design work within an Agile sprint framework.
Translate product requirements and user stories into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
Produce production-ready design specifications including component usage, responsive behavior, accessibility requirements, and edge cases.
Design and refine key workflows including navigation, dashboards, forms, document workflows, and task-based interactions across web and mobile platforms.
Continuously improving the product experience using research insights, analytics, usability feedback, and stakeholder input.
Design with accessibility as a core principle, ensuring compliance with WCAG accessibility standards.
Create accessible design specifications including keyboard navigation, focus states, screen reader behaviors, and semantic structure.
Partner with accessibility experts and engineering teams to validate accessibility through testing tools and assistive technologies.
Contribute accessible patterns and documentation back into the design system.
Leverage and contribute to the company’s design system to maintain consistency and efficiency across products.
Participate in collaborative workshops including journey mapping, design studios, and critique sessions.
Partner with design leadership to maintain high design standards and continuously improve design practices.
Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience in digital product design delivering customer-facing digital products.
Experience designing across web applications, mobile apps, dashboards, portals, or workflow tools.
Experience working in Agile product development environments and managing multiple design workstreams.
Experience working with design systems and structured design environments.
Strong understanding of human-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design.
Strong proficiency with Figma and modern prototyping tools.
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Familiarity with front-end architecture concepts such as microservices, service-oriented architecture, and data-driven applications.
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and accessible front-end implementation concepts.
Ability to annotate designs with accessibility considerations including keyboard navigation, screen reader behavior, and component states.
Education Bachelor’s degree in Design, Interaction Design, Communication Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
