Position: Business Development Representative Location: Chicago, hybrid (on site 1 day/week) Our client is a fast-growing analytics and intelligence platform serving the global commodities market. The company provides market participants with advanced tools to visualize supply & demand data, weather risk, and price trends across a wide range of agricultural commodities. By helping clients make faster, smarter, and more data-driven decisions, Our client supports traders, risk managers, procurement teams, analysts, and producers worldwide. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) , you will play a key role in driving new business opportunities and expanding market reach. You will be on the front lines of cultivating relationships, identifying potential clients, and generating qualified leads that align with our strategic sales goals. The ideal candidate is curious, results-oriented, and passionate about connecting clients to solutions that unlock value in complex markets. Key Responsibilities: Prospect and qualify leads through outbound outreach (cold calls, email, social), inbound interest, and market research. Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, including commodity traders, risk managers, procurement professionals, and analysts. Educate prospects on the value of Our client’s analytics platform and solutions, tailoring conversations to industry needs. Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams to optimize outreach strategies and share market feedback. Track and manage pipeline activity in CRM with accurate records of interactions, leads, and next steps. Achieve daily/weekly/monthly KPI targets for activities and lead generation. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Agriculture, Finance, or related field preferred 1–2 years of experience in sales development, business development, or related roles — preferably in SaaS, technology, data analytics, or commodities industries. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable with cold outreach and engaging decision-makers. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and work autonomously. Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead-generation platforms. Interest in commodities markets and data analytics is a plus. $65K base / $90K OTE Hybrid, on site 1 day a week in Chicago office #J-18808-Ljbffr
