Ruskin Consulting: Marketing & Client Delivery Intern
San Antonio, United States | Posted on 03/16/2026
Most internships hand you a task list and leave you alone. This one is different.
At Ruskin Consulting, you will be working directly alongside our team on real client accounts across SEO, paid media, content strategy, and web projects. You will see how a digital marketing agency actually runs, sit in on client calls, learn how strategy gets built, and pick up skills that most people spend years trying to figure out on the job.
We are not looking for someone who already knows everything. We are looking for someone who is curious, picks things up fast, and does not need to be babysat. The soft skills matter more to us than the resume. We will teach you the rest.
What You Will Be Doing
Supporting client communication and helping keep projects on track across multiple accounts
Sitting in on strategy sessions and client calls so you understand how decisions actually get made
Helping translate client requests into clear briefs the team can work from
Tracking deliverables, following up on action items, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks
Learning how SEO, Google Ads, content, and web development work together as part of a full marketing strategy
Picking up real agency workflows, tools, and processes as you go
What We Are Looking For
You do not need a marketing degree or agency experience. You need to be the kind of person who figures things out.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal. If you can write a clear, professional email you are already ahead of most people
The ability to read a room and pick up on what someone actually means, not just what they said
Someone who takes initiative. If something needs to happen and nobody has assigned it yet, you handle it
Curiosity about marketing, business, or how things work in general
Willingness to learn by doing, including making mistakes and moving on quickly
Organization. You do not have to be perfect but you do need to keep track of things
If you have done anything related to marketing, client work, content, or project coordination, even informally, tell us about it. We care more about what you have done than where you went to school.
What We Will Teach You
We take this part seriously. By the time you leave, you will have real working knowledge of how a modern digital marketing agency operates. That includes:
How SEO works and how to build a strategy that actually drives traffic
How paid media campaigns are set up, managed, and optimized across Google Ads and other platforms
How content strategy ties into business goals, not just word counts and keywords
How to manage client relationships and communicate in a way that builds trust
How to use AI tools to work faster and smarter across every part of the job
How agencies price, scope, and deliver work at a professional level
You will not be watching from the sidelines. You will be doing the work alongside people who have been in the industry for years.
You Need to Be Curious About AI
We use AI tools every day and we expect you to as well. You do not have to be an expert on day one, but you should already be experimenting. If you have never opened ChatGPT or tried to use an AI tool to make something easier, this role probably is not the right fit.
We want someone who tinkers. Who tries things. Who finds a faster way to do something and gets excited about it. That mindset matters here more than any specific skill you walk in with.
High Agency Is Non-Negotiable
Internship does not mean passive. We will not be micromanaging you or handing you a new task every hour. You will need to manage your own time, ask good questions when you are stuck, and take ownership of the things you are responsible for.
If you need constant direction to stay productive, this will be a tough environment. If you thrive when you are given real responsibility and room to figure things out, you will do well here.
The Setup
Based in San Antonio, TX. We want you in person at the start. That is how you learn fastest and how we get to know each other. As you find your footing and build trust with the team, we move toward a hybrid schedule that works for everyone.
You will be working alongside a mix of in-person and remote team members from day one.
Paid internship, compensation based on hours and experience.
Real work, real clients, real learning.
Where This Can Go
We are not running an internship program to fill seats for a summer. We are looking for people we want to keep. If you come in, do good work, and grow into the role, a full-time position is the goal. We would rather build someone up from inside the team than go looking for a hire when we already have the right person sitting across from us.
That said, you have to earn it. Show up, put in the work, and treat it like the job you want it to become.
To Apply
Send us your resume and tell us something you figured out on your own that you are proud of. It does not have to be marketing related. We just want to see how you think.
