Position Overview Temporary Facilities Office Assistant Posting Number: G/R32391P Working Title: Temporary Facilities Office Assistant Department: Housing-Facilities-Maintenance Location: Athens Area Employment Type: Employee Schedule: M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Salary: $14.00 per hour Anticipated Start Date: 05/11/2026 Closing Date: Open Until Filled We are unable to offer a work visa sponsorship for this position. Job Description The Housing Department Facilities Office Assistant helps on‑campus residents maintain the highest quality of life in their living space by expediting maintenance and building services work requests to get them resolved as quickly as possible. The office assistant also escorts contractors on campus for inspections and repair work. Duties and Responsibilities Develop an extensive knowledge of maintenance related tasks and delegate these tasks to the right staff member in an appropriate, timely manner. Escort contractors and outside vendors to specific work areas. Assist work control manager and work control assistant with key control for contractors and vendors needing access to our buildings. Assist with administrative duties. Create work orders in AIM. Clean, wash and maintain UGA vehicles and LSV’s. Other duties as needed. Physical Demands Bend at the waist and the knees. Work with arms and hands overhead for extended periods of time. Crawl to complete various tasks. May occasionally perform work related duties outdoors, in hot or cold weather conditions. Drive a state vehicle.
