Job Summary: The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in converting submitted proposals into awarded projects. This is a performance‑driven role suited for someone who thrives on ownership, urgency, and closing opportunities. Strong candidates are disciplined in follow‑up, comfortable asking for decisions, and energized by winning competitive projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Own all follow-up activity for submitted proposals until the opportunity is awarded or formally closed out.
  • Execute consistent, multi-touch outreach via phone, email, and meetings to maintain momentum and prevent opportunities from stalling.
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers to drive clarity, next steps, and final decisions.
  • Address client questions, objections, or hesitations in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Utilize the CRM to maintain accurate pipeline data for proposal status, communication history, and anticipated close dates.
  • Partner with internal teams to support proposals, revisions, and client questions.


Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in a B2B sales or revenue-driven role
  • Experience with CRM platforms
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a client-focused approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred:

  • Background in commercial roofing, construction, or related industries
