What You’ll Do as an Account Manager

Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships between potential customers, current customers, and the company.

Customer Success for Machined Parts

  • Own the customer experience—serve as a primary point of contact for quotes, order acknowledgements, delivery updates, and technical questions.
  • Data entry of the orders, quotes, and acknowledgements will be required.
  • Resolve issues by coordinating with production, quality, engineering, and logistics departments to ensure every commitment is met.
  • Proactively communicate project milestones, shipment status, and any variances, building trust through transparency.
  • Champion the voice of the customer internally to drive continuous improvement.

Management of Distribution Accounts

  • Source material from key vendors for orders related to the distribution of plastic sheet, rod and tube.
  • Create an estimated price for distributed sheet, rod or tube.
  • Build relationships with key vendors who we buy material from.
  • Grow your knowledge of plastic materials and their functionality in certain environments to better sell material.

Inside Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Grow account value by spotting upsell/cross-sell opportunities, recommending value-added services, and increasing average order size.


Job Expectations:

  • College degree preferred
  • 1–3 years in account management, inside sales, or customer service with revenue targets
  • Strong phone presence, persuasive communication, and follow-through

  • Previous experience working in machining/manufacturing is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints is a plus
  • ERP experience is helpful (we use JobBoss/E2)
  • CRM proficiency (we use Pipedrive) and a data-driven mindset

Excellent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills. Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and with customers. Ability to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, and show strong self-motivation and initiative. Ability to operate under deadlines while still meeting standards.

This position is a full-time salaried position. The Account Manager is responsible for proactively interfacing with customers to prepare quotes, process order, upsell, and resolve any customer inquiries.
