The Digital Media Buyer is a hands-on keyboard expert responsible for working across the strategic execution, buying, real-time optimization, and comprehensive reporting of digital media deliverables. This individual plays a role as needed in the development of multimedia, fully integrated strategies for potential and existing clients. Efforts may include understanding strategic direction, suggesting tactical recommendations, setting achievable goals based on client objectives, creating benchmarks and KPIs for performance, monitoring campaigns for success and generating results reports, and providing results and insights.

The ideal candidate is a tactical operator who serves as the agency's "hub of knowledge" for paid media digital processes. You are someone who thrives in the details of trafficking and bid management but can also zoom out to provide strategic recommendations that elevate the entire marketing mix. Whether it is managing complex RFPs, negotiating with vendors, or mastering the latest AI-driven features within DSPs and social platforms, you are ready to get your hands dirty to help the team win.

Responsibilities
  • Lead "hands-on-keyboard" activation across all major digital channels, including Paid Social (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, et al.), Programmatic (Display, Video, CTV/OTT, Audio, et al.), and Paid Search (Google, Bing).
  • Maintain deep technical proficiency in Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), social ad managers, and emerging retail media networks (e.g., Amazon, Walmart Connect).
  • Lead the RFP process by identifying, organizing, and negotiating cost-effective and scalable agreements with media vendors to ensure optimal placement and value for clients.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop learning agendas and test plans (A/B testing) that drive innovation across all paid channels.
  • Interpret platform campaign results into actionable insights, communicating pacing against goals and overall effectiveness to planners and/or clients through high-quality presentations and dashboards.
  • Actively manage and optimize campaigns daily: adjusting bids, audiences, and creative headlines to maximize performance and hit strict KPI/ROI objectives.
  • Oversee campaign reconciliation, billing, and post-buy analysis to ensure impeccable accuracy and budget adherence.
  • Stay at the forefront of the industry by integrating emerging trends into daily workflows.
  • Acts as steward of client budgets, with impeccable professional standards
Skills and Attributes
  • Possesses an impeccable attention to detail, specifically regarding trafficking, tracking, and campaign quality control.
  • Embraces a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and intellectual curiosity, acting as a liaison between the media team and other agency departments.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks within set deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written presentation skills with the ability to maintain high professional composure during client interactions.

  • Strong mathematical and research skills, with the ability to analyze metrics like CPM, CTR, CPC, CPA, and ROAS to drive data-informed decisions.
Credentials and Experience
  • 4-6 years of media planning and/or buying experience across multiple sectors and within all paid media formats
  • Experience/expertise in buying platforms like Meta, Google, LinkedIn, and Campaign Manager 360
  • Experience/expertise of web analytics and marketing tech tools, including Google Analytics 4
  • Experience with SBMS, Strata, Advantage Media and/or similar agency buying tools
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
  • Digital platform certifications a plus
