Loan Servicing Associate
With minimal direct supervision of the Loan Servicing Supervisor and/or Manager, the associate is required to perform all loan servicing functions. Essential duties and responsibilities: Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job. Performs all functions related to balancing, reconciliation and certification of GL accounts Board and fund all new and renewed loans and leases Process payments, payoffs, paydowns, as well as, advances, maintenance transactions and non-posted transactions Process collateral lien perfection and lien releases Process all payoff demand requests, prepayment penalty calculations and paid note documentation Process charge offs and recoveries for all loans and leases Perform the call back/audit function when required for all entries to the loan/lease systems Perform updates as needed on the loan tickler and collateral systems Respond to internal/external inquiries Prepare and maintain departmental logs and reports Accurately scan and index loan documentation into the appropriate imaging groups and types Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers Other duties as assigned. Education and/or experience: High School diploma or GED; and a minimum 3 years loan servicing experience preferred. Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Mathematical skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficient in the use of mainframe loan systems, preferably FISERV Proficient in the use of PC based loan systems, preferably Lease Complete Other skills and abilities: Familiar with standard U.S. commercial, consumer and real estate lending policies Familiar with standard U.S. note department workflow Knowledge of U.S. federal and California state banking laws and regulations related to banking Team player Sets high standards for self and team Adapts well to changes Strong can do attitude Takes the initiative Ability to work under pressure Attention to detail Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus. Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Salary range: $20.00 to $26.25 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and/or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
